General Primary Care

At Mayflower Medical Group, we provide continuing and comprehensive adolescent, adult and geriatric health care, including most preventative, diagnostic and therapeutic services for a wide array of acute and chronic problems.  As family practice and internal medicine providers, we are dedicated to treating the whole person.  Family medicine’s cornerstone is an ongoing, personal patient-physician relationship focusing on integrated care.  Unlike other specialties that are limited to a particular organ, disease, age or sex, family and internal medicine integrated patient care for both genders across the full spectrum of ages within the contect of community and advocates for the patient in an increasingly complex health system.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted wholly to comprehensive health care for people of all ages.  It is the primary division of health care that provides continuing and comprehensive care for the individual and family across all ages, genders, diseases and parts of the body.  Care is based on knowledge of the patient in the context of the family and the community, emphasizing disease prevention and health promotion.  The aim of Mayflower Medical Group is to provide personal, comprehensive, and continuing care of the individual throughout every stage of life.

Internal medicine is a specialty that focuses on adult medicine and the prevention and treatment of ailments ranging from the common cold to more serious conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and lung disease.

You can visit your Mayflower internist for a yearly physical exam, advice on disease prevention and staying healthy, as well as help managing any chronic conditions you may have.  If necessary, your internist will coordinate your medical care with specialists in other areas, order diagnostic testing and even help monitor your situation if a hospital stay is necessary.
